God, will you do a transforming work in Lydia Beth’s life as she learns what it means to accept and tolerate delay. My prayer is that she will get less and less upset whenever we tell her “No.” My prayer is that as she learns what it means to be patient, she will also learn the importance of trust.
May Lydia Beth develop trust in us, as she begins to realize that we love her and desire what is best for her. May she view the “trouble” or “suffering” that she experiences as an opportunity for patience – knowing that she has a Heavenly Father who knows exactly what is best for her.
May patience give her great joy!
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
