It felt like days, but it was indeed just a few hours that we drove through an extended portion of Kansas that looked like this. It was not only flat, but it was entirely free of cloud cover. It was so weird. It seemed like we were in another world. I don’t know if the flatlands between Arkansas and Wyoming made these clouds look so radiant, but the further West we drove, the more enthralled I became. Have you ever seen such majestic clouds?
I can’t help but think of these beautiful verses from Psalm 104:1-4, “Let all that I am praise the Lord. O Lord my God, how great you are! You are robed with honor and majesty. You are dressed in a robe of light. You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens; you lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds. You make the clouds your chariot; you ride upon the wings of the wind. The winds are your messengers; flames of fire are your servants.”
