And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18
As dawn makes its way upward The golden glow softens everything The hard trunk of the tree and the hard-selfish soul Now painted in pure gold The tip of each new-leaf and a new-found obedience Now dipped in pure gold The round hanging fruit and the evidence of His divine love Now wrapped in pure gold Christ Jesus bathes in brightness all that He touches
my inspiration
The golden lights of dawn brought me a new thought recently. I was out walking early, it was one of those dawns that bathe the world in brightness. Leaves were flakes of gold; on one tree the fruits that hung there were golden balls.
Isn’t this a perfect picture of what you and I want to be? Selfless. Obedient. Free, because we are obedient. Cleansing in brightness all whom we touch. Only love can be that and do that. Lord, forevermore give us this kind of love.
