Isaiah

HOPE IN THE MESSIAH

Isaiah 30:18, "Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice.Blessed are all who wait for him!"

The book of Isaiah is the story of a prophet. God chose Isaiah to warn Israel because of the sin that they were in. Israel had continually rebelled against God, worshipping idols and living wickedly. But God, in His lovingkindness, sent Isaiah to warn them and turn them back to Him.

Isaiah preaches a message to Israel that proclaims Israel will be restored if they repent and follow God. But he also tells them of the destruction that will fall on them if they don't. Isaiah points to a future Savior, someone who will restore God's people forever. Isaiah points us to Jesus, reminding us that He is our Savior in all things, saving us from our sin and restoring us in our relationship to God.
