We had a wonderful morning at Rob and Melani Walton Nature Preserve. This preserve is located in Northwest Arkansas in Garfield. It’s easy to find, and there is a paved road all the way to the preserve, making it easy to get to by car. The hike is easy for anyone wanting to get outdoors. The trail is wide enough for vehicle access, so it is easy for the entire family to hike. We could have even brought Lydia’s 3-wheel stroller and pushed her on the trail. It would have been bumpy in some places, but I think it would have been a viable option. Jeremiah commented that he’d like to run the trail as well. We loved this 4+ mile hike. There were plenty of acorns, fern leaves, wheatgrass stalks, etc., to keep Lydia entertained. She was even able to catch a 20-minute nap along the way!
