There are thousands upon thousands of acres in Northwest Arkansas available to the general public to explore, hike, and even hunt. Because Jeremiah is an avid hunter, he likes to look for new public land areas that might interest him during deer season. It is always fun for our family to explore new land pieces that we have never seen before, and Wedington Wildlife Management Area is one of those places. There is no perfect place to park to access this property, and much of the land is divided between county roads, highways, and individuals’ personal properties. It was strange to explore because it often felt as if we were trespassing (though we clearly knew we were not). Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time hiking the fields, enjoying the frost-covered daffodils, and we even spotted a coyote on the prowl. Lydia found her first feather and was mesmerized by its beauty.
